FIELD: loudspeakers converting electric oscillations into sound waves and radiating them into environment. SUBSTANCE: audio-frequency electric signal is represented in the form of digital signal in parallel N-bit code, exciting signals of acoustic radiators are shaped in the form of square pulses synchronous with sampling frequency of audio-range digital signal. Square pulses thus shaped are used to excite Z acoustic radiators out of M≥2N-1 group of identical-power acoustic radiators. Number Z acoustic radiators excited simultaneously during each time space equal to sampling frequency period of audio-range digital signal is found from formula Z = A1•20+A2•21+...+Ai2i-1+...AN•2N-1,, where A1,A2,...,Ai,...,AN are weight factors corresponding to values л0 or 1 of digital-signal bits 1 through N within mentioned time space equal to digital-signal sampling frequency period. EFFECT: improved characteristics of reproduced audio frequencies throughout entire audio-frequency range. 10 cl, 9 dwg
