FIELD: petroleum processing.
SUBSTANCE: selective purification of lube oils with selective organic solvents involves oxidation of lube oils followed by treatment thereof with solvents. Possible oxidants are aqueous solutions of hydrogen peroxide, a hydroperoxide, and hypochlorite. Possible selective solvent are N-methylpyrrolidone and aqueous phenol with up to 50% water. Oil may also be preliminarily deparaffinized.
EFFECT: avoided necessity of using complex equipment and minimized expenses on reconstruction purification installation.
