FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices generating electric pulse when ferromagnetic object passes through its sensitivity zone and it can be used in control system of internal combustion engine for determination of phase of operation. Proposed detector contains nonmagnetic case, magnetically sensitive unit consisting of permanent ring magnet of rectangular profile and Hall-effect device arranged inside detector case. Detector case is provided with framework with slot for fixing Hall-effect device connected with electric outputs through printed circuit boards with radio elements, and flexible sealing member. Framework is furnished with ferromagnetic core with thread and head installed coaxially with permanent ring magnet. Magnet with ferromagnetic core is rigidly secured inside framework in process of casting. Head of core is located in space filled with elastic synthetic material. Output connector of detector with electric outputs is made integral with case by pressure die casting method. Invention improved accuracy of location of ferromagnetic object owing to absence of undesirable displacement of elements of magnetically sensitive unit which are rigidly secured in process of case casting and improved stability of measured parameters.
