FIELD: automatic control of nuclear reactor power.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes maintenance of desired neutron power involving generation of relay control signals in response to neutron power error signal depending on its magnitude and polarity; desired value of neutron power is shaped depending on pressure error signal by adding proportional and integral components of desired neutron power, and integral component of desired neutron power is not shaped when control signal is applied. Nor is integral component of neutron-power desired value shaped when modulo pressure error signal is lower than pressure dead zone, and proportional component of desired neutron power value is produced with coefficient of proportionality changed depending on pressure error signal and is limited in value; in absence of automatic control integral component of desired neutron power is set to value causing zero neutron-power error signal. Device implementing this method is provided in addition with relay unit, one more OR gate, one more control switch, switch, first and second push-buttons, power supply, and nonlinear unit.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of control in varying efficiency of control element or transient characteristics of controlled entity.
