FIELD: printing arts.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in formation of pages by bending of sheets, application of adhesive onto the outer side of the pages, making up of a set of sheets in a book block, preparation of a spine of the book block and its sizing, cutting-off of the block and placement of it cover. The adhesive is applied onto the outer side of the pages at a distance of 1.5 to 2.0 mm from their end face, and the spine of the book block is glued by textile material in the form of two strips, each having a size of 0.20 to 0.25 of the length of the spine of the book block and 1.4 to 1.6 of the width of the spine of the book block, the strips of the textile material are positioned symmetrically to each other at a distance of 0.2 to 0.25 of the length of the spine of the book block from its edges each.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the printing product.
