FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to transport systems with electric traction created by linear motors. Invention provides description method and device for operation of vehicle on maglev suspension with synchronous linear motor with great number of sections of stator winding arranged one after the other in direction of movement and connected successively to section cable. When passing communication joint, at least both sections of winding adjoining communication joint are electrically connected in series. So transport motor always remains active in zone of communication joint and no decrease of traction force is revealed.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation of vehicles on maglev suspension.
