FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed hatch cover opening and closing mechanism of railway hopper cars has longitudinal drive shaft 1 mechanically connected with hatch covers 2 and hand turning drive with device for application of force, drive tie-rod 6 hinge-connected by one end with drive shaft by means of rigidly secured drive lever, 5 housing 8 secured on body and device for locking hatch cover is CLOSED position. Drive tie-rod is installed to provide clearance between tie-rod and drive shaft in OPEN position. For this purpose drive is provided with crank hinge-connected with other end of drive tie-rod and housing to align longitudinal axes of crank and tie-rod in CLOSED position. Locking device is made in form of pawl fixing crank in two positions, namely, INTERMEDIATE and CLOSED. Force application device is provided with detachable lever located on upper intermediate branch pipe and lower closing branch pipe of swivel joint 24.
EFFECT: improved reliability and increased capacity.
