FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed hopper car hatch cover opening and closing mechanism
Has longitudinal shaft 1 secured hopper and connected with hatch covers by rigidly secured pull lever 2 hinge-coupled with upper end of vertical tie-rod 3 whose lower end is hinge-connected with articulated horizontal tie-rods 3, 4 hinge-coupled with covers. Drive is coupled with longitudinal shaft 1 by means of drive lever and is provided with turn limiter to set clearance between longitudinal shaft and drive tie-rod when mechanism is in "open" position. Vertical tie-rod is furnished with turn limiter to limit turning relative to pull lever to preclude wedging of mechanism in process of opening.
EFFECT: improved efficiency in operation.
