FIELD: arch-type bridges, particularly reinforced concrete arch structured made of corrugated sheet material to substitute prior-art structures with concrete or steel girders.
SUBSTANCE: arch-type structure comprises the first set of profiled corrugated metal sheets connected one to another and forming the main arch structure span having predetermined cross-section and the second set of profiled metal sheets connected one to another for covering the first set in contact with it. The first and the second sets are connected one to another and form a number of separate transversal closed continuous cavities. Each cavity defined by the second set from one end to another end thereof is filled with concrete. Formed in cavity filled with concrete is interface concrete surface defined by inner metal surfaces of the first and the second sets. Inner sheet surfaces of each set have a number of lateral connection members located on above interface between concrete and metal. Lateral connection members are reinforcing members of the first and the second sets formed so that when load is applied to arch structure lateral connection members act as reinforcing members of cambered arch-type column to increase combined resistance of main arch structure to positive and negative bends and axial load. Number of sheets in the first and the second sets is enough to create necessary quantity of above reinforcing members to provide sufficient resistance to estimated loads applied to arch-type structure. Arch-type structure span exceeds 15 m.
EFFECT: possibility to take necessary load with small arch span coating thickness, improved strength and increased span length.
