FIELD: industrial and civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: this covering can be used for roofing spans of any configurations and dimensions. Resilient curvilinear precompressed components of covering are pivotally attached by guy rope so that their end sections are mutually overlapping each other. Resilient curvilinear components themselves are interconnected by links which ensure rigid structure only after lifting it to designed position. Thus, guy rope is held constantly tensioned over its entire length due to interaction of resilient components, and entire covering has flying-up configuration after lifting it to designed position. Due to permanent tension in rope caused by other resilient components and not by gravitational load as it takes place in conventional hanging systems using stays and membranes, it is possible by means of stable systems of stays and braces to give covering various configurations for examples such as domes of ball shape or bulb shape, cylindrical vaults, etc. Aforesaid embodiment of covering can resist flutter and can be stable to actions by seismic loads. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 8 dwg
