FIELD: testing of vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises comprehensive loading of tire and measuring normal loading affecting the tire and radial deformation of tire. Applying and removing additional longitudinal loading are performed continuously and synchronously with measuring the normal loading. The device has frame connected with the pillar through a pivoting unit, axle which is a link of normal loading together with the resistance strain gauges glued on it and set in the bearing unit of the frame, hub which secures the wheel with a tire to be tested to the frame, and adjustable tie with a cantilevers which orients the resistance strain gauges strictly in the vertical plane when the frame rotates. The electromechanical drive which provides applying the normal loading comprises the motor-reduction gear, pair of conical gears, and nut-bolt pair.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of testing.
