FIELD: aircraft engineering.

SUBSTANCE: runway friction coefficient measuring device contains supporting frame supported by two supporting wheels, measuring wheel, computer control and display panel, independent load with lever, chain brake, brake generator, braking current sensor, angular velocity sensors of the measuring wheel and one of the supporting wheels, automatic sliding control system for the measuring wheel, independent suspension, spring shock absorber with dampener, controlled three-phase AC rectifier, load resistance, tensometric system, unit of correlation of the results of measuring the runway friction coefficient with the real braking characteristic of the wheels of the landing aircraft. Correlation unit contains computer work station of the aerodrome control tower, expert evaluation unit, anti-lock braking programmer and unit for calculating coefficient of correlation of the coefficient of adhesion, connected in a certain way.

EFFECT: improvement of the accuracy and reliability of measurements of the runway friction coefficient is provided.
