FIELD: testing equipment in automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: method of construction of characteristics of radial elasticity on rotating wheel is realized by measurement of rated load and radial deformation of tire. Measurements are conducted simultaneously, continuously, in particular section over tire perimeter and in step with rotational speed of wheel put under rated load. Device for construction of characteristics of radial elasticity of tire on rotating wheel has frame connected to towing vehicle, axle which is measurement link together with resistance strain gauges bonded to it and is mounted in bearings and in hub that secures attachment of wheel to tested tire. Measurement link of radial deformation of tire is mounted in same plane with measurement link of rated load on wheel for synchronous rotation of both links with wheel. EFFECT: more accurate evaluation of elastic and damping properties of tire. 4 cl, 3 dwg
