FIELD: sports and amateur fishing; ice fishing facilities.
SUBSTANCE: proposed fishing rod contains housing with socket for spool. Housing accommodates spring-loaded catch getting into spool slot after setting the spool in socket and holding spool from getting out. Retarding of spool is provided owing to pressure of catch onto slot bottom. Simultaneously catch plays the part of line layer. Adjusting screw can be installed to adjust braking force. Said screw interacts with spring and changes its force. Winter fishing rod should be preferably used in set with spare spools with fishing lines wound on and mormyshkas (artificial baits) tied to line and placed in one box.
EFFECT: improved convenience in use.
