SUBSTANCE: fishing rod comprising hollow handle and body with a shaft, on which a removable spool for fishing line is installed, a removable rod designed as a pole with an attachment having a guiding ring for fishing line and a spool braking device. The spool braking device is equipped with a reverse braking mechanism designed as a spring-loaded lever pivotally secured on the body; the lever having a profiled tooth designed so that it can interact with a toothed ring formed outside of the spool disk abutting the body. The edge of this disk is rounded and overlaps the body so as to prevent ingress of sand into the gap between the spool and the body.
