FIELD: processes for making profiled shapes with use of rolling rolls, possibly manufacture of channel shape from blank with simple cross section, for example from rod.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of guiding blank to deformation zone at directing blank by inclination angle relative to horizontal plane at side of one rolling roll before and (or) after deformation zone; setting inclination angle no less than biting angle; deforming cross section of blank by means of shaping surfaces of rolling rolls; guiding blank at turning it around rolling roll; passing blank through inlet grooved pass formed by shaping surface of rolling roll and working surface of roller in inlet pass. Said inlet grooved pass provides orientation of blank relative to shaping surface of rolling roll and holds blank by means of working surface of roller of inlet pass in said position in order to realize further motion of blank together with rolling roll until deformation zone. Blank is hold due to applying to it effort exceeding friction force acting upon blank in deformation zone.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and stability of process, lowered energy consumption.
