FIELD: transport engineering; large-capacity city buses.
SUBSTANCE: proposed city bus has body under which frame. Front wheel beam with steerable wheels, drive axle, support wheel beam located after drive axle, engine installed in rear part bus are arranged. Suspension of support wheel beam contains pneumatic resilient members (bags) and guide arrangement consisting of longitudinal and oblique tie-rods. Wheels are installed of support beam on turnable journals interconnected by cross tie-rod. Support wheel beam is furnished with spring mechanism consisting of links spring-loaded relative to each other. First link is hinge-connected with steering knuckle secured on wheel journal. Second link is connected with ball pin of spherical hinge joint secured under flange of bracket fastening longitudinal tie-rod of suspension guide arrangement of cheek of said bracket.
EFFECT: provision of successive turning of wheels of front and support wheel beams by means of simple spring mechanism with small unsprung mass.
