FIELD: engine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: thrust bearing comprises disk with three working areas uniformly arranged over periphery and two bearing washers between which a disk is mounted. The areas are provided with flat projections and hollows. The wall of the flat hollow of each area has the shape of hyperbola in the longitudinal direction. There is a port for supplying oil at the center of the flat hollow. The depth of the flat hollow does not exceed the width of the clearance between the projection of the working area and face surface of the bearing washer.
EFFECT: decreased mechanical losses.
