MILL FOR MAKING PANEL MEMBERS OF FLAT HEAT EXCHANGERS BY LOCAL SHAPING Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: plastic working of metals, possibly local shaping of ducts in flat heat exchangers.

SUBSTANCE: mill includes housing; table; horizontal motion drive of table; die with relief surface secured to table; cross piece mounted in housing on axle with possibility of rotation; shaft mounted in central part of cross piece and having elastic envelope for preliminary deforming of sheet blank. Said shaft is provided with drive for moving it in vertical direction. Mill also includes two rigid shafts with profiled surface and with screw-down mechanism. The last has guiding strips secured to table. Said rigid shafts are mounted on end portions of cross piece. Pressure rollers are arranged on end portions of rigid shafts with possibility of engaging with guiding strips. Rollers of left shaft are mounted with possibility of engaging with guiding strips when table moves to the right and vice versa.

EFFECT: improved efficiency due to using return stroke as working one, lowered metal consumption of mill, reduced energy consumption for making products.
