FIELD: glassmaking industry.
SUBSTANCE: in order to increase homogeneity and chemical activity of glass mixtures for manufacturing building and other kinds of glass, mixture components are ground, sieved, transported, stirred, and granulated. Kaolin and soda are preliminarily mixed at weight ratio 3:7. moistened to 5-7%, and granulated on rotary blade granulator. Granules up to 0.5 mm in size are characterized by strength 10.5 kg/cm2 and moisture content 4.5%.
EFFECT: reduced (by 8-10%) glass melting time.
