FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: silica-containing raw minerals are soaked at pit-run moisture of 15-50%. Prepared raw materials are ground to fraction of 1-2 mm, then in a wet grinding attritor for 20-30 minutes they mix it with water, alkaline component and dolomite at the following ratio, wt %: opal-cristobalite rocks - 58.8-66.1, alkaline component - 20.1-26.2, dolomite - 13.8-15.0, and grind to fraction of 40-80 mcm to produce sol. Sol is exposed to temperature treatment at temperature of 200-400°C to produce a granulated powder with moisture of 5-7% and further temperature treatment of powder at temperature of 500-600°C to produce cake. Cake is ground in a dry grinding attritor to specific surface value of 12000-20000 cm2/g. The produced mix is granulated. Granule size is 100-1000 mcm, moisture - 5-7%. Then granules are dried and foamed.

EFFECT: production of fine granulated glass foam ceramic material of ball shape with small fractions of up to 1200 mcm of at least 75 percent, reduction of loose density.
