FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: silica-containing raw materials undergo preliminary treatment by aging at the warehouse at moisture of 15-50%. Raw materials are ground to fraction of 1-2 mm. Then the following components are mixed in the attritor, wt %: opal-cristobalite rocks - 59-66, alkaline component - 19-26, dolomite - 8-15, with suspension moisture of 50-67%. Ground to fraction of 80-40 mcm to produce sol, which is then in a drying-granulation plant exposed to spray pyrolysis at temperature of 450-600°C, turned into gel, granulated. The produced finely dispersed granulate-semifinished product with granule size of 100-1500 mcm is exposed to foaming at thermal treatment in a rotary furnace with separating medium at temperature of 750-850°C and serial cooling with screening into fractions from 200 to 3000 mcm.
EFFECT: improved quality of granulate, simplified process of granulation, reduction of power costs, improvement of labour conditions and environmental protection in process of production of produced semifinished product.
