FIELD: electronics; short-circuit protection of electronic devices operating in switch-mode.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for protecting electronic devices against short circuits between output electrodes at cutoff interval or open circuits at saturation interval includes check-up of input and output voltages of electronic device 2 and generation of alarm signal. Coincidence unit 4 built around controlled switch functions to check up time coincidence of logic signals as function of input and output voltages of electronic device 2. First logic signal is generated by input voltage differentiation 1 followed by time elongation. Second logic signal is generated by output voltage differentiation 3 of electronic device 2. First logic signal is not shorter in length than second one. In case of failure of time coincidence of logic signals contacts of coincidence unit 4 closed and alarm signal is produced for de-energizing electronic device 2.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and speed of response.
