METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF SHOES, CORD TIGHTENING OF TOP PART BLANK AND ATTACHMENT OF LOWER PART BY CASTING Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: shoe industry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves assembling top part blank along perimeter of tightening edge of top part; sewing-in cord; positioning top part; drawing cord for preliminary tightening of top part and binding cord ends; spreading apart casting block to its working position for final tightening of top part and casting-on shoe bottom part. Preliminary tightening of top part is performed outside casting unit on toe and heel part punches adjustable in longitudinal direction. Said punches are arranged so as to provide total length of their trace smaller than length of casting block. Mutual position of punches is regulated depending on size of shoes, deformation properties of material of top part and force required for cord tightening. Cord is drawn without applying of forming force sufficient for folding of tightening edge of top part onto punch traces. Cord ends are passed through branches in top branched part of top part blank for tight pressing of tightening edge to shoe trace over the entire zone of top branched part. Blank of top part is removed from punches and put onto expandable casting block in its initial retracted position.

EFFECT: reduced labor intensity for cord tightening directly on expandable blocks of casting units and improved quality of tightening.
