FIELD: working processes in machine engineering, namely finishing non-rigid parts.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cutting and deforming part by means of working head having cutting and deforming portions. Worked part is rotated and moved in lengthwise direction by action of head deforming portion having main and additional supporting cones engaged with deforming rollers mounted at inclination angle relative to part axis. Cutting portion of working head is arranged between said supporting cones. Part is subjected to deforming action with effort necessary for providing predetermined roughness of worked surface. Said effort is determined with use of given formula. Apparatus includes working head having cutting portion with cutters and deforming portion with supporting cone and with deforming rollers. In order to achieve the same result of working process deforming portion includes additional supporting cone arranged in front of cutting portion and having deforming rollers. Diameters of said rollers are calculated with use of given formula.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of working, stable quality of worked parts.
