FIELD: metallurgy, in particular steel for manufacturing of crossing frog of railroad and tram rails.
SUBSTANCE: claimed steel contains (mass %): carbon 0.07-0.15; manganese 0.50-1.20; silicium at most 0.50; chromium 1.2-2.00; molybdenum 0.40-0.70; nickel 2.50-3.50; vanadium at most 0.13; phosphorus at most 0.015; sulfur at most 0.015; titanium at most 0.05; aluminum at most 0.045; and balance: iron.
EFFECT: rail tracks with increased durability due to improved endurance of crossing frog, including parts bound with carbon steel elements; as well as decreased crack formation under variable loads.
