FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of steel used in railway rails. Invention proposes steel comprising components taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon, 0.71-0.82; manganese, 0.75-1.20; silicon, 0.30-0.60; phosphorus, 0.005-0.025; sulfur, 0.004-0.025; aluminum, 0.010-0.025; chromium, 0.50-0.85; vanadium, 0.04-0.10; nickel, 0.03-0.10; copper, 0.03-0.12; antimony, 0.0002-0.003; tin, 0.0005-0.01; lead, 0.0002-0.003; zinc, 0.0002-0.003; bismuth, 0.0002-0.003; arsenic, 0.001-0.01; nitrogen, 0.005-0.012; iron, the balance, in the following obligatory ratios: (antimony + tin + lead + zinc + bismuth + arsenic ) ≤ 0.026 % and (aluminum + vanadium)/nitrogen = 4-25. Invention provides increase of crack-resistance, fatigue strength and durability of railway rails without thermal treatment. EFFECT: improved properties of steel. 2 tbl, 1 ex
