FIELD: mechanical engineering; steam turbines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed regulating balanced valve is designed for use in turbine steam distribution system. Regulating valve has housing with steam inlet hole and steam outlet hole, with seat press-fitted at inlet. Valve bowl has plate and skirt engaging with seat. Rod guide box is secured in valve housing. Through holes for communicating auxiliary valve in bowl with valve steam chest are made in box. Outer cup is secured in housing being installed with ring clearance relative to valve bowl unit. Through holes in skirt of valve bowl and in box are arranged in two tiers. Through holes of one tier are arranged in staggered order with displacement relative to holes of other tier.

EFFECT: improved strength and reliability of valve in operation.
