Abstract RU 2248905 C1

FIELD: shipbuilding; oil tankers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed oil tanker has cargo tank and insulated ballast tank which is provided with flexible tight bulkhead dividing it into two hermetic compartments. Compartments are provided with pipe lines and units for filing them either with sea water or with fresh water. Compartment filled with fresh water is located at side bulkhead of ship. Flexible bulkhead is provided with air reservoir.

EFFECT: possibility of using the tanks for carrying fresh water; enhanced efficiency.
