FIELD: shipbuilding; construction of tank vessels for liquid cargoes in bulk.

SUBSTANCE: tanker has hull with bottom, inner bottom, sides, ballast tanks, upper deck, cargo zone with cargo tanks forming watertight compartments by watertight bulkheads. Hull has double sides over larger part of cargo zone length; sides have inner and outer plating, thus forming inter-side space divided vertically by inter-side platform mounted in upper third of double side height. Inner plating of side is structurally combined with respective longitudinal bulkheads of some cargo tanks; longitudinal bulkheads are flat in construction and are provided with vertical pillars on section from double bottom as far as upper inter-side platform and with longitudinal stiffeners on section from upper inter-side platform as far as upper deck; framing is located inside inter-side space. According to second version, tanker is a one-deck vessel; hull is provided with vertical sides having ice strengthening members over extended length of cargo zone; tanker bow is inclined.

EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency; reduced usage of materials; low cost for operation.
