FIELD: space engineering; devices for movement of astronauts under conditions of low gravitation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has two identical mechanisms secured in hollow housings 1 and 2; each of them is secured to astronaut's boots. Each mechanism is provided with spring 3 located between bottom of sleeve 4 and piston 5. Movable rod 6 of piston is provided with flat 7 with attachment for astronaut's boots. Spring-loaded pawls 9 are used for fixing the position of springs 3. These pawls are secured on spring-loaded levers 23 connected with starting clamp by means of cables 25 and secured on rigid part of full-pressure suit. Front halves of bearing surfaces of housings 1 and 2 have bearing flats fastened with jaws of these housings, thus ensuring required position of astronaut before making first jump. Device may be also provided with steel projecting side plates and toothed plates for movement over rocky ground.
EFFECT: simplified construction of mechanisms; enhanced reliability; reduced mass; ease of use.
