FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering, in particular, to instrumentation for spaceship actions in a spacesuit. Support device used mainly by the cosmonaut in the space suit comprises a telescopic rod with a pointed tip and a ring on one end and a handle on the other end. Brackets parallel to each other and perpendicular to rod axis are fitted on rod by means of terminal connections. Non-metallic coating is applied on the rod between the terminal connections. Between the brackets tension spring is stretched, wound tangentially coil to coil. Distance between the handle and spring is 8–10 % less than the thickness of the palm part of the inflated space-suit glove. Spring is placed in a fabric cover fixed on brackets. Length of jacket exceeds distance between brackets. Rod top is the platform on which the magnetic fixing device is installed.
EFFECT: higher safety, efficiency, reliability and ergonomics of the support used by the cosmonaut in the space suit when walking.
