CROSSMEMBER FOR HANDLING SPECIALIZED CONTAINERS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; load handling facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for transporting and unloading by dumping of specialized containers, such as those carrying high-grade coal or coal bricks. According to proposed method, crossmember containing carrying beam is positioned by means of load-lifting mechanism over container and is lowered until cams on crosses coincide with container fittings. Then, by moving roller carriages found on beam to center, clamping force is conveyed to crosses through vertical posts to make cams get into holes of fittings. Crossmember with specialized container is lifted by load-lifting mechanism and is delivered to place of discharge. Drive found on shelf on movable roller carriage is switch on, and torque is transmitted to container by means of chain drive to turn container through 180^o. After unloading, container is returned in initial position by drive. Crosses with cams are brought out of container fittings by moving roller carriages in different directions. Operations are repeated with other specialized containers to be unloaded by dumping.

EFFECT: mechanization of process of gripping, transporting, unloading by dumping of loose loads from specialized containers.
