FIELD: cyclic process for recovery of elemental phosphorous from phosphorous-containing slurry.
SUBSTANCE: in the first stage slurry containing water, admixtures and elemental phosphorous is melted to form a melt. Melted slurry is mixed with 500 mass % (as reduced to slurry) of water and 0.5-5 mass % (as reduced to water) of chromic acid. Mixture is agitated to form continuous phase of elemental phosphorous. Purified phosphorous phase is separated from mixture.
EFFECT: method of high yield.
