FIELD: technology of natural substances.

SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for producing the pectin preparation involving milling and mixing sunflower heads and citrus husks taken in the ratio by mass from 1:9 to 9:1. Before mixing the raw is extracted successively with dimethylformamide and liquid carbon dioxide under above atmosphere pressure. After separation of the second extract pressure is dropped to atmosphere value. The hydrolysis-extraction stage is realized out by carrying out the process successively in direct flow and in countercurrent with intermediate squeezing out. Water is used as an extractant at stage of countercurrent process and extract separated after countercurrent stage is used as at stage of direct flow with addition of acid. Method provides enhancing quality of the end product due to elimination of undesirable taste and odor being without deterioration of its technological properties and without reducing the specific yield of pectin.
