FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with mixing the sample of vegetable oil and cumene to be then placed into a microcalorimeter. Then one should add oxidation initiator - azobisisobutyronitrile, perform registration of heat quantity released during cumene oxidation reaction. Then it is necessary to measure induction period and quantity of tocopherol by applying the following formula: where f - coefficient of inhibiting, [InH] - concentration of tocopherol inhibitor, wi - initial rate of initiating, τ0 - inhibitor's duration period by taking into account initiator's breakdown. The present innovation enables to simplify the technique for detecting tocopherols.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of detection.
