FIELD: meteorology.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises measuring angular velocity of rotation of a small turbine set in the flow, determining moment of inertia of the turbine, dependence of the velocity of wind on the measured angular velocity of the turbine in the steady-state regime, and dependence of the first derivative of the total force power which affects the turbine shaft in the steady-state regime from the wind velocity, and giving time interval after which the measurements are carried out. During measuring the wind velocity, the instantaneous values of the rotation speed of the turbine are measured, and instantaneous wind velocities are calculated from formulae presented.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements.
