FIELD: tellurium halogenide-based glasses transparent in IR-spectrum.
SUBSTANCE: claimed glass contains (mass %): Te 33-80; Cu 10-35; I 5-50. Glass is transparent in wave length of 2-25 mum, has softening temperature of 385-435 K and thermal cubical expansion coefficient of (90-56)*10-6 K-1. Glass compositions of present invention are useful as waveguides and recoding media for information logging, treatment and exchange.
EFFECT: glass with increased transparency region in IR-spectrum, improved heat resistance, and reduced thermal expansion coefficient.
