TRANSPARENT GLASS CERAMIC THAT PROTECTS AGAINST NEAR-INFRARED RADIATION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC C03C10/02 C03C4/08 B82Y40/00

Abstract RU 2747856 C2

FIELD: optical materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optically transparent glass ceramics, which can be at least part of a heat shield, an optical filter, an architectural element, an automotive component, or electronic display housing. Optically transparent glass-ceramic materials include a glass phase and from about 0.1 mol % to 10 mol % of a crystalline phase of tungsten bronze MxWO3 in the form of nanoparticles, wherein M is at least one of H, Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Cu, Ag, Sn, Cd, In, Tl, Pb, Bi, Th, La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu и U, and 0<x<1. Glass ceramics have a transmittance of at least 10% / mm over a wavelength range of at least one wavelength range of 50 nm for light having a wavelength in the range of about 400 to about 700 nm. In the wavelength ranges of 700-2500 nm, the light transmission is less than 5%/mm and in the wavelength ranges of 370 nm and less, the light transmission is less than 1%/mm.

EFFECT: material has significantly better optical properties.
