FIELD: polymer chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to method for production of diene (e.g., butadiene, isoprene, piperylene)-styrene copolymers by copolymerization in aqueous medium, using stirred reactor, in presence of radical initiators, specific additives and surfactant mixture, containing α-(carboxyethyl)-ω1-(trimethylsiloxy) polydimethylsiloxane (PDS) of general formula 1, wherein n = 7-9 in amount of 0.1-3.0 mass parts in respect to 100 mass parts of total copolymers mixture. Latex obtained in presence of PDS has decreased foaming, and claimed latex-based films have increased water-resistance.
EFFECT: latex of improved physical and chemical properties.
