FIELD: building, particularly individual or public swimming pools having overflow gutter with water purification system arranged in it.

SUBSTANCE: swimming pool including waterproof body of rectangular or polyhedral shape and overflow gutter arranged along perimeter thereof and used as water purification means. Front gutter wall is below rear gutter wall and has end flange inclined downwards to swimming pool basin. Overflow gutter is provided with caps having partitions on inner sides thereof. Partitions have downwardly directed wedge-like parts. One partition side faces overflow gutter interior. End partition surfaces are laid in plane of end front wall flange, another side faces swimming pool basin. Secured in air-tight manner to end flange of front wall is inner edge of floating overflow mat mating to wall perimeter. Overflow mat cooperates with end surfaces of partitions facing overflow gutter interior. Longitudinal cap partitions have through openings shaped in correspondence with wedge-like partition parts. Overflow gutter have through slots arranged along the full gutter perimeter and along front wall base. Slots are covered with protective shields having flanges bent at right angles and extending inside swimming pool basin. Upper flange is in plane of inclined flange of front overflow gutter wall and is supported by it. Lower one extends downwards and rests upon swimming pool basin by its bent flange having vertical corrugations. Porous filtering material with low flow resistance is laid on overflow gutter bottom spaced from front gutter wall to provide drainage gap. Foamed polyurethane blocks with through micropores covered with waterproof film, particularly polyvinylchloride film, may be used as filtering material. Inner film edge is connected with inner floating overflow mat edge and pressed together with above edge to inclined flange of overflow gutter by upper flange of protective shields. Outer edge is pressed from above by bent flange of metal net used for preliminary water purification. Net encloses filtering material from outer end surface thereof.

EFFECT: prevention of stagnation areas forming in overflow gutter, decreased energy losses of waves directed not at right angles to gutter wall.
