FIELD: welding processes and equipment, namely welding current pickups, possibly used in machine engineering at gas-shield welding of parts.
SUBSTANCE: pickup includes connected in series: registering member of electric current limiting resistor and additional power source. The last is connected through negative and positive power supply buses respectively with welding electrode and welded article that at welding are closed through electric arc gap. Registering member may be in the form of electromagnetic relay P or in the form of optic couple VHS whose irradiating member (light emitting diode) is connected with measuring circuit in direction of electric conductance of diode.
EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced operational reliability of pickup.
