FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying morphometric evaluation of hepatic tissue sclerosing degree related to viral hepatitis B and C in patients taking ephedron. An additional immunohistochemical examination is carried out on paraffin sections and the number of Ki-67 positive nuclei of sinusoid cells and the number of Ki-67 positive nuclei of hepatocytes are determined. Coefficient K value is calculated as ratio of the number of Ki-67 positive nuclei of sinusoid cells to the number of Ki-67 positive nuclei of hepatocytes. K value being greater than 0.5, fibrosis development is predicted within 24 months long period. K value being less than 0.5, fibrosis development is predicted within a period longer than 24 months.
EFFECT: high accuracy of prognosis.
