FIELD: medicine, hepatology, infectious diseases.
SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to carry out morphological examination of hepatic tissue to detect the expression of alpha-smooth muscular acting (α-SMA) in hepatocytes' nuclei and in case of its absence one should diagnose cirrhotic stage of chronic viral hepatitis. This technique is being a multipurpose one and enables to conduct diagnostics under conditions of inconsiderable quantity of the material under examination and, also, at obtaining a tissue sample out of large hepatic node in case of large-node cirrhosis (not containing portal tracts being involved into cirrhotic process). Moreover, it increases the accuracy of predicting cirrhotic stage of chronic viral hepatitis against the prototype up to 65%.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
