FIELD: homing systems.
SUBSTANCE: the method for guidance of a flight vehicle to a separate air target in formation of a compact group of targets not cleared by the on-board radar makes it possible to obtain in the initial leg a clearance of targets by the Doppler frequency (rate of closure) due to the respective flight-path curving with determination of the quantitative composition of the group with a subsequent high-accuracy guidance to one of the targets both in the conditions of its continuous direction finding, and in the conditions of simultaneous automatic tracking of all the targets of the group. The possibility of clearance of targets in a compact group is stipulated by transition of their clearance by angles due to the width of the aerial directional pattern to the clearance by the Doppler frequency predetermining the so called Doppler peaking of the aerial beam.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
