FIELD: optical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: day and night vision device has day and night channels which include objective, image converter, relay optical system and common image plane. Objective has to be common as for day channel and for night channel. Objective is made in form of lens having discrete change in focal length. Angle reflector is introduced behind the objective; reflector has two mirrors. Optical module is introduced as well; the module has light filter units and collection lens. Image converter and optical module together form channels switching unit made for alternative introduction of the channels to optical axis. Channel switching unit is located between angle reflector and relay optical system. Relay optical system has to be common for day and light channels and is made in form of high-power objective. CCD-matrix is mounted at the image plane. Angle reflector can be made for having angle of inclination of 180°.
EFFECT: widened functional capabilities; improved transmittivity; reduced sizes.
