FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: encoded element has piezoelectric substrate with electro-acoustic converters in form of counter-rod structure, to produce acoustic surface wave with main movement direction, and reflective structure, reflectors of which are code elements on main direction of wave movement. To position reflectors, a set of evenly spaced positions as main values of set is selected, while value of spacing in this set is selected appropriate for path portion, which is passed by acoustic wave during time, determined by selected time error of system measurements, and deflectors are distributed only among such positions of set, for which distances between neighboring reflectors determine resolution of reflective structure, determined by width of system frequency band.

EFFECT: higher efficiency, lower costs.
