FIELD: sewing industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing anthropometric measurements; determining values of waist fold openings; determining length of shoulder strip from jugular pit to mid portion of shoulder joint and length of back shoulder measured from seventh cervical vertebra to mid portion of shoulder joint; determining opening of chest fold from side cut as difference of measured length to waist front part and length to waist back part; correcting width of bodice along chest line, waist; determining position of horizontal shoulder and waist lines; measuring height of aperture to determine position of chest line. Mid portion of shoulder joint is measured with arm extending horizontally aside and positioned in center of shoulder joint depression. Value of opening of chest fold from side cut is determined in strip, with deflection of waist line in upward or downward direction from horizontal plane being taken into account. Opening of additional fold from aperture is determined depending upon brassiere size. Length of back shoulder is determined as total of length of shoulder of strip plus opening of shoulder fold depending upon individual's posture.
EFFECT: increased precision in plotting of bodice pattern.
