FIELD: diffusion welding processes and fitting for performing the same, possibly in aircraft making and other industry branches.
SUBSTANCE: working container includes housing with flanges and covers in the form of flexible membranes, Container with welded structure is placed on lower basic member. Upper basic member is placed on container from upwards. Upper basic member is arranged on compensating members that are placed in working container along its perimeter for providing optimal gap between structure and upper basic member. Height of compensating members is calculated according to relation: P + S < H < P + kd, where H - height of compensating members, mm; P - maximum height of assembled welded pack, mm; k - coefficients depending upon material of membrane and it outer size; d - thickness of membrane of working container, mm; S - maximum camber of upper basic member, mm.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of welded thin-wall laminate structures due to elimination of their non-normalized deformation and upsetting values.
