FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of accurate instrument making and can be used in development of the technology for production of rotors of ball gyroscopes (hereinafter – BG). According to the method, the task is solved by: the height of each flange of the hemispheres is determined from the expression the center of the outer spherical surface of each hemisphere is shifted relative to the plane of separating the hemisphere along its axis of symmetry towards the pole by a value h = (0.015–0.02)⋅H; zone of loading of welded hemispheres with area Sd cylindrical bead with outer diameter Dn is formed on the end surface of each male die contacting flanges of the hemispheres, and ID Din; flange height h1 is determined from the condition h1 = h, wherein welding pressure PSt. (ΔTSt.) in temperature range ΔTSt. = (TSt. – K⋅TSt.) is selected from relationship σdt (ΔTSt.)⋅Sf > PSt. (ΔTSt.) > σdt (ΔTSt.)⋅Sd, where is area of hemisphere flange end surface area; σdt (ΔTSt.) is average value of yield point of material of hemispheres in temperature range (TSt. – K⋅TSt.); Dfn Outer diameter of flanges.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement of manufacturing process of thin-wall rotors of BG, increased accuracy of manufacturing and reliability of thin-wall rotors of BG.
